DIGI #160 - "CATCHING FIREFLIES"

NOTE; DIGI REMOVED!

Digi #160 - "Catching FireFlies" is another digi to celebrate summer. But, before I go any further, I must tell you: Here in central Alabama [and definitely south Alabama when I was growing up], we called these cute little creatures "LIGHTENING BUGS". In fact, I didn't know any other name for these cuties until I went 'outside' south Alabama. This digi depicts exactly how we caught them too. Yes, we used an empty mayonaise jar. After catching the 'lightening bugs' we'd put leaves in the jar for them to eat and even take them to sleep with us. Just one of the fun things that I hope to show our Grands when they move back to Alabama next year.

Here is a couple of cards that I made/mailed to Card Cupids last week.

Enjoy your summer! Only 93 here today and even a thundershower too!

  6. Oh, how I miss fireflys. There's nothing like them here in AZ. Instead we have black widow spiders, scorpions and huge beetles! YUCK. Cute image Diane.
