When we were young, we would run through the pastures looking for [what we called] "Wish Weeds". Upon finding one, we'd blow on it and make a wish--we were sure every one of our wishes would come true!
Last week while walking across the grass to our mail box, I picked a "Wish Weed" and blew on it. My husband came out just as I blew--I forgot all about my wish because he 'yelled'. He was not happy! He said that those 'little puffs' flying through the air was EACH a seed, and before long we'd have a whole yard-full of dandelions instead of just the one I'd picked.
Another childhood memory 'blown through the air'. But I had fun drawing these "Wish Weeds". Maybe Wayne will not object to these--you think!??
